Two Carriage Home models open at Sarasota National
Two new Carriage Home models by WCI Communities are now open for viewing at Sarasota National, the 2,400-acre master-planned community in Venice.
The models feature owner’s suites with walk-in closets and bathrooms offering a shower, water closet and vanity with dual sinks. Kitchens offer pantry closets and freestanding island breakfast bars.
“The large kitchens in both of these homes are a real bonus,” said Carol Jean Annand, owner of the design firm. “Carriage homes tend to have small kitchens, but these are spacious and rival those in a single-family house.”
The first-floor Carnoustie has 1,833 square feet of living space, and Annand’s interior design features a palette of white and gray with coral accents. The flex room, which opens to the great room, kitchen and dining area, is shown as a combined den and office with rustic wood and painted furniture. Sliding glass doors at the great room and dining area open to a covered lanai.
The Carnoustie offers 2,496 total feet including entry, lanai and garage.
Located on the second floor, the St. Andrews offers 2,152 square feet of air-conditioned living area. The open floor plan, with two sets of sliding glass doors open to the lanai, combines great room, kitchen, dining area and a flex room presented in the model as a work-play area with a desk and sofa.
Throughout the model, Annand blended natural textures with sleek furnishings to create a contemporary design with a touch of the tropics.
The St. Andrews has 2,811 total square feet, including entry, lanai and garage.
Designed for low-maintenance living, Carriage Homes at Sarasota National are available in four designs from 1,710 to 2,376 air-conditioned square feet. Carriage Homes start from $232,990.
Sarasota National offers a total of 24 home designs, including Coach Homes, single-family Villas, Grand Villas and Golf Estate Homes with two and three bedrooms and up to 3,184 square feet of living space.
Twelve designer furnished models are currently open for viewing in the community. Several dream ready homes are available for immediate move-in.
Sarasota National offers an 18-hole championship golf course designed by Gordon Lewis and certified as an Audubon International Signature Sanctuary. Golf facilities include a pro shop, driving range, and chipping and putting greens.
Construction of the community’s three-building, 25,000-square-foot clubhouse is well underway and will offer indoor and alfresco dining and gathering spaces, a fitness center, resort-inspired and lap pools, tiki bar, bocce ball, pickleball, tennis courts and a separate dog park.
Located in Venice, named by Forbes as the top U.S. city to retire in 2014, Sarasota National was created with 1,300 acres designated for preservation, conservation and open space. It is approved for 1,584 homes, including 800 homes surrounding the golf course and country club area.
