As the community name suggests, the town center is on site, and is the centerpiece of the neighborhood. Inside the building you’ll find such amenities and services as a public library, the police department, city council chambers, community meeting spaces, and all municipal services. You’ll also find a variety of shops and restaurants within the town center.
Travel is easy in this location, with access to major interstates and highways like I-485 and Highway 52 in Albemarle. You’re also near bustling cities like Charlotte and Concord. The Red Bridge Golf Club is nearby, offering an 18-hole championship golf course and a well maintained park is not far from your doorstep, with athletic fields and playgrounds. Events and festivals are frequent in Locust, including the Classic Car Cruise-In and Movies and Concerts in the Town Center. And if you’re feeling really adventurous one day, Morrow Mountain State Park, Lake Tillery, and Badin Lake are just a quick trip down the road.
