8 Things to Do Before Fall Ends
Daylight saving time has ended, and not only are our evenings shorter but many of the things we love about autumn are soon coming to an end. So now’s the time to get in your last bit of fall fun: Enjoy views of colorful foliage, take a stroll along a quiet beach, go hiking during pleasant temperatures, root for the home team while sipping tasty fall beers, and more.
Take a Farm-Fresh Tour
You’ll find farms open to visitors across the state, but Western North Carolina is particularly rich in agritourism spots. Here’s a delightful trip, starting in Asheville and ending outside of Boone, with a whole lot of stopping in-between to visit farms, dine at top restaurants, sample local wine, feed alpacas and more.
Be Inspired at the Billy Graham Library
The Billy Graham Library gives visitors a look into the life of the famous pastor and ambassador to world leaders through inspirational exhibits, theaters and galleries. Graham’s annual birthday celebration takes place here Nov. 7, and the holiday festivities will begin Dec. 1. Plus, round out your trip to Charlotte with great dining and more attractions.
