Carolina Luxe: Coastally Inspired Comfortable Elegance

ideal_home_dining_1Luxurious but not pretentious. “This ideal home reflects living a Carolina lifestyle at a very high level,” says Dan Horner, partner at Tribute Homes. “We partnered with ideal-LIVING to create a unique home that demonstrates the way people are living – the movement of architecture and homebuilding within the context of the Carolinas. These are highly livable homes with a level of sophistication and well-executed design.”

Catering to the 50+ market segment, Tribute Homes is a division of True Homes, one of the largest semi-custom builders in the Carolinas. For this home, Tribute Homes partnered with one of the premier communities on the Carolina coast, Brunswick Forest, just outside of historic downtown Wilmington, NC.
“We’ve come out of the great recession and we wanted to show that housing is back and that great design can be achieved at an affordable price point with a sense of luxury,” said Dan Horner.

ideal_home_kitchen_2Desiring to bring high design to a broader audience, Soucie Horner’s SH Studio division teamed with Tribute Homes to create the Designer Collection by SH Studio. The collection pairs timeless design elements with a quality building team to offer luxury-infused homes at affordable prices.
The Designer Collection by SH Studios offers three packages – Classic (everyday traditional), Artisan (clean, arts and crafts) and Transitional (combination of the two) each with a cool or warm color palette, kitchen and lighting packages.

ideal_home_living_2“Design is not only for the elite,” Martin affirms. “The space needs to be authentic. It’s all aspirational. It’s all about the lifestyle. It’s about living elegantly today, casually with friends and family.”

“In this home, the volume of the great room is a nice surprise as you enter through the foyer. The wood beams give it texture and scale. The two-sided fireplace breaks up the space without feeling like you’re blocking the area … it adds drama and interest,” says Martin.

The home was designed specifically for the 50+ market to create spaces for the empty nesters or newly retired, where multiple generations can co-exist comfortably. Each bedroom has an en suite bathroom. In addition to the guest bedroom and office, the FROG (finished room over garage) is a must-see. It was designed as a bunkroom with opposing bunk beds that contain hideaway trundles plus an en suite bathroom that can easily accommodate six grandchildren at a time.
The attention to detail in the home, from the materials to the lighting is meticulous and beckons you to experience it for yourself.
“There are many homes that are designed and built by a builder, but Tribute Homes is a builder who has built homes designed by a designer,” concludes Dan Horner. I-L
