Canton, Ga. –An ambassador program that was implemented at Soleil Laurel Canyon in 2009 is continuing to pay dividends for the resort inspired, active adult community located in Canton, Ga.
The program, which includes 14 ambassadors (homeowners), was introduced as a way to allow homebuyers to interact with actual residents. Ambassadors, selected by Active Lifestyle Communities (ALC), the developer of Soleil Laurel Canyon, are often matched up with prospects who share common interests during their visit to the award-winning community.
Jerry and Roz Gladstone, residents of Soleil Laurel Canyon recently entered their second year as ambassadors. Both said they understand the importance of providing a sounding board for potential homeowners.
“I think if you are searching for a home you want to hear from homeowners themselves,” said Roz.

“Let’s face it; it’s easier to talk to a resident than a sales person.”
Throughout the course of the year, both said they participate in numerous events at the community including cookouts, group outings and meet-and-greets.
“There is so much that goes on at Soleil on a daily basis from cooking classes, book clubs, hiking clubs and tennis,” said Jerry. “We are here to help share information that can be useful to homebuyers during the home buying process. Our goal is to welcome individuals interested in this community and provide them with information that can help them make an informed decision.”
Dick Rubant, one of the newest ambassadors said that the importance of having such a program in place cannot be overlooked. Often times it can make the difference in whether someone decides to purchase a home or not.
“People need to interact with individuals that actually live here,” said Rubant. “I’ve talked to a few prospects that have actually purchased. I’m not saying that they purchased because of me, but I have to think that it didn’t hurt. The sales agents do a great job, but when potential homebuyers can hear from us about the amazing friendships we have formed here, it really makes a difference. This community really is like one big family and I think that really comes across when we speak to potential residents.”
