The Settings of Black Mountain Announces New Spring Activity
BLACK MOUNTAIN, N.C., Feb. 12, 2010 – The Settings of Black Mountain, one of Western North Carolina’s most successful new communities since its inception in early 2005, sees many signs of an improving market in both potential new neighbors and in the lending environment.

New Funding Opportunity Inked
McWhorter also said that it is a very strong indicator of the quality of the community and its residents that two property owners stepped in to lend the funds necessary to restart development activity. “We have been in discussions with these property owners and others for a very long time concerning the slow down in infrastructure due to the downturn in the economy,” McWhorter said. “These two families’ love of the community was readily apparent when they volunteered to provide funding to assist in the completion of the development. Clearly, The Settings Development Companies as well as all property owners within The Settings of Black Mountain owe them a big debt of gratitude for their generosity.”
“Beyond these two fine families however,” he added, “we are seeing increasing interest in community lending as well as very competitive customer homesite, construction and permanent mortgage lending returning to the market.”
