Designers’ Show House at Hampton Lake to Benefit Alzheimer’s Respite and Resource and STARS

Bluffton, S.C. –Hampton Lake, the first private lake community in the Hilton Head Island/Bluffton area, will host a Designers’ Show House decorated by 10 of the Lowcountry’s top interior designers to benefit Alzheimer’s Respite and Resource and STARS (syncope trust and reflex anoxic seizures).

The Designers’ Show House, located at 73 Hampton Lake Drive, will be open to the public from May 8-24; with tours on Wednesdays – Saturdays from 10am – 4pm, and Sundays 11am – 3pm. Tickets are $10 per person.

“We’re excited for the opportunity to have so many great designers display their talents at Hampton Lake,” said Gerrit Albert, president of Hampton Lake.

Complimentary seminars will be offered throughout the day at the 3,300 sq. ft. house covering topics such as faux painting, window treatments, fabrics and color schemes. Area chefs will also be on hand demonstrating various cooking techniques and preparing tasty treats. Guests are also invited to visit the award-winning amenity village at Hampton Lake for lunch at Backwater Bill’s, the community’s casual lakefront bar and grill (credit card only).

“Altogether we are making this an exceptional event,” said Albert. “Participants will get fresh decorating ideas, make new friends and see our lakefront community.”

The Designer Show House was built by Tilton Group Signature Homes. It features heart of pine reclaimed antique floors, farm house molding, gourmet kitchen countertops made of paper stone and a screened-in porch with slate floor.

Rebecca Smith, executive director for STARS, said “Visitors are in for a real treat. These designers always seem to wow us with their creations.”

Advance tickets may be purchased at any of the participating design firms which include Ethan Allen, Beverly Hall Interiors, Georgia Furniture and Interiors, Le Cookery, Interior Motives, Casual Living and Fine Furniture Galleries/Coastal Living Interiors. Or visitors may purchase tickets at the Show House. Hampton Lake is located on Bluffton Parkway, between Hwy. 170 and Buckwalter Parkway, off Hwy. 278.
