“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.” F. Scott Fitzgerald, The Great Gatsby
Autumn is a great time for travel and discovery. The weather is cooler, the excitement of summer vacation has passed and most people are back to their work routine, permitting travel at a less hectic, more enjoyable and experiential pace. Travel should at least give you a good story to tell, but at best an adventure packed with experiences and the discovery of a new place you desire to live. Fall is a popular time of year for ideal-LIVING readers to travel. Many take advantage of weekend getaways, also known as “Discovery Travel,” to explore areas for potential second homes or retirement destinations.
This issue contains many popular fall escapes to take in the fall color. Over 30 pages are devoted to ideal towns and things to do within those towns. We also explore the coasts of the Dominican Republic. You can visit ideal-LIVING.com or attend either of the ideal-LIVING Expos in September to find more Discovery Travel options. In addition, the Ideal Home in Brunswick Forest, built by Tribute Homes, is showcased along with Aurora Award-Winning Homes from the Southeast Builders Conference. We hope you find the information in this issue helpful and that you take time this fall to experience new places.
