GREENVILLE, SC – August 18, 2009 – For the fifth year in a row, members at The Reserve at Lake Keowee honored the staff that serves them by trading places with the employees for a day that was filled with fun and fellowship. The annual event gave the property owners the opportunity to give back to the community that they enjoy throughout the year and show the employees how much they appreciate their dedication to their work.

Over 200 owners, employees and family members participated in the event, enjoying a golf tournament, lunch, pool activities and boat rides on Lake Keowee. The members staffed the golf tournament, providing cart staff, beverage cart staff and cleaning of the clubs. Members also organized a barbecue by the pool and served as cooks and wait staff. During the festivities, four employees received awards for five years of loyal service to The Reserve.

“Our employees work hard all year and do a maximum job with minimum

recognition. Their positive attitudes, enthusiastic spirit, and attention to detail show in everything that they do,” said Frank Santoro, Club Manager at The Reserve. “Our members recognize this and plan for this special event every year. Each year, I see more and more owners becoming involved. In all my experience, I have never been associated with such awesome membership. They are The Reserve’s most valuable asset and it is a pleasure to work with them.”

“To me, the best thing about the day was seeing the employees and their families
relaxing and having fun.” said Nancy Kennedy, one of the members who helped coordinate the day.

Employee Appreciation Day is just one of the many events that take place at The Reserve. Numerous families already enjoy The Reserve lifestyle, immersing themselves in the community by participating in art shows, fundraisers, holiday celebrations and picnics. The family-friendly amenities at The Reserve set it apart from other mountain living communities and allow for activities such as group hikes, aerobics classes, and concerts.

These events create a sense of community that spreads into every aspect of life at The Reserve. With a Jack Nicklaus signature golf course, tennis and fitness facility, marina, pools, parks and playgrounds, The Reserve offers something for everyone in the family.

Member Kathy Panther said, “The Reserve does a great job of fostering a sense of community. The staff is warm and friendly and the residents are all wonderful people. I feel fortunate to live in a place that is not only surrounded by beauty, but great people as well.”
