Greensboro, Ga. (July 30, 2009) –Reynolds Plantation’s award-winning culinary program has been honored for the sixth consecutive year as the recipient of WINE SPECTATOR Magazine’s Award of Excellence. Featured in the publication’s annual Dining Guide issue, Reynolds Plantation is included in an international listing of restaurants that have been recognized as providing the best wine experiences in the world.

A recipient of a WINE SPECTATOR Award must offer a wine list that presents complete and accurate wine information and includes wines appropriate to the restaurant’s cuisine while appealing to a wide range of palettes. The wine list must include vintages and appellations for all selections, including wines by the glass. Also taken into consideration is the overall presentation of the wine list.

To win the Award of Excellence, restaurants must offer a wine list that includes a well-chosen selection of quality producers while also showing a thematic match to the menu in both price and style. The recognized lists typically offer at least 100 selections.

“It is a great privilege to receive this honor again for 2009,” says Walter Beller, vice president of club and cottage operations at Reynolds Plantation, who develops the wine offering. “To be considered among the best in the world shows our dedication and commitment to offering the best there is for the members and guests of Reynolds Plantation.”

The Plantation Grille and The Overlook at Great Waters, two of Reynolds Plantation’s restaurants, are open to the public. For reservations, contact the Member Concierge at 706-467-1111.
