Greensboro, GA – The Oconee Performing Arts Society (OPAS) presents the VILLAGE Dance, Saturday, June 27th. Step back in time to the charm of Lake Oconee Village as it could have been in the 1940s. Balmy starlit evening, colored Christmas lights strung from pole to pole with Tony Winston and the Mondo Swing Orchestra playing the big band sounds as you dance into the night. At 7pm attendees will have the opportunity to learn the East Coast Swing with local dance instructor Jean Graham and the entertainment will begin at 8pm. The VILLAGE Dance is the first of six events that will make up the VILLAGE Series.

An engaging game of musical chairs will be held at intermission with a special prize for the winner. Help support the series and purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to win a 2009 Sea Doo GTI with Custom Cover and a Confab PWT 1000 Trailer valued at $9,500. Tickets will be available for purchase at one for $5.00 or by the book at five for $20.00.

There is no admission charge for any of VILLAGE Series events and guests are encouraged to visit the various Lake Oconee Village restaurants to pick up an assortment of meal options for a relaxing picnic on the Village Meadow. Food will also be available for purchase at the event.
